We’re excited to introduce a new collaboration with our friend and Artisan of Craft, Chef Thomas Keller. This year’s style is one of Chef Keller’s favorite designs for on and off the golf course, the Pine Performance Hoodie in navy, featuring a subtle embroidery of the The French Laundry clothespin on the left sleeve.
All Proceeds from the Hoodie Will Benefit the Two Charities Below
First Tee focuses on fostering and developing positive life skills through the game of golf. Our local chapter, First Tee - Triangle, works with young men and women both at their own facility and through after-school programs like Drive4Success, which is staged on site at schools across the area. The proceeds from this hoodie will largely benefit their Annual Fund, which helps to subsidize the extensive programs offered by the organization. Of the 1,700 kids involved with First Tee in our area, roughly 50% are on scholarship. The fund ensures that costs are kept at a minimum to all participants, and kept at zero for those unable to afford them. We have been in awe of the special work we’ve seen from First Tee over the years and are proud to continue to support this great cause.
Legendary chef and featured Artisan of Craft, Thomas Keller, has been a committed supporter of the Ment’or organization since its founding in 2008, and currently serves as its president. The organization began as a means to improve the quality of Team USA’s preparation for the Bocuse d’Or competition, the world-renowned event named after the late, great Chef Paul Bocuse that takes place every two years in Bocuse’s hometown of Lyon, France. The charity is still deeply tied to the event, sponsoring a chef and commis team, with a network of more than 60 chefs across the country who help advise.
Ment’or has now evolved well beyond its origins, and is dedicated to making a difference in the culinary world in helping nurture and encourage promising talents in the kitchen. Scholarships are awarded to deserving young recipients who are looking to gain experience in other kitchens, and Ment’or funds travel, salary and accommodations for their internship.
With a duo of three-Michelin-star restaurants and countless other
accolades,
Chef Thomas Keller is a living legend in the culinary world.
