Nice, but not for me.
The cut is very tight like skinny jeans and the material is a very soft merino wool. It wasn’t what I was expecting from a five pocket pant. In person it looked more like a combination of jeans and dress slacks. I like Peter Millar clothing and have other pants, but returned these.

All wool , slim fit , regular rise Alpine 5 pocket
I have been wearing various Peter Millar items for more than 10 years. Without exaggeration, I must have at least 75 pieces ranging from socks to blazers with everything in between . Other other than occasional sizing variances, I have been extremely pleased with everything I’ve ever purchased. The new Alpine slacks are 100% wool and the only reason I gave them four out of five stars is because I just took them to the tailor to get the length adjusted and I actually haven’t worn them yet. However, the initial fit with regard to the rise and the slim fitting legs is really good. Hopefully because they are not lined they will not get “knees “ in them when they are worn .
